Founded in 2022 as a Single Family Office based in Singapore, Highland Family Office Ptd Ltd is a 3rd generation private entity established to manage the investments of the Mak family. We act solely as principals.

The Mak Family dates back to the early 1900s and is based in Hong Kong. The family is one of the earliest private real estate developers and has an established reputation and a proven track record in residential and commercial development and management for over 100 years.  Over the years, we have branched out to import and export, manufacturing, and financial asset management.    The Family Office was established in 1992 with direct investments in equities, fixed-income instruments, hedge funds, private equities, and venture capitals.

Now onto its 3rd generation, The Highland Family Office is an offshoot of the Mak Family Office. It manages an in-house equity portfolio, as well as direct investments in hedge funds, venture funds, and private equity. We seek investment opportunities globally across all asset classes based on careful investment objectives and fiduciary duties.

We pride ourselves on honesty and transparency in business transactions. We maintain a conservative style and long-term-focused style of asset management. It is a family tradition for us to have zero debt, and this tradition has endured to this day in the Mak family.
